Due date: 3/16/17

 

Overview: The purpose of this assignment was to be able to not only complete but understand five difficult questions in five minutes or less. As the year progressed Mr. Lewis expected more of us and knew that we could do this challenge. By doing these problems students are able to intellectually challenge themselves and their brain capacity.

 

Personal Reflection: I believe that my strength during this particular Do Now was being able to complete it in only two minutes. This is an achievement because that proves that I clearly understand the topics at hand. My weakness, however, is that I get distracted a lot when completing the Do Now. When I get distracted I lose my focus because I am trying to concentrate on two things. 

 

Skills Tested: The skills in which I was tested in were my ability to solve multiple math problems without the use of a calculator or help of a peer. I was also tested for being able to use what I learned and incorporate that knowledge into working out another problem.

 

What I learned: By completing this Do now I learned how to solve inequalities and divide exponents. This skill will be useful because these are some of the key components to higher and more difficult math courses. So by having those skills in my pocket, I am on my way to a greater math career.
