Due Date: 12/5/16

 

Overview: The point of a Do Now is so that Mr. Lewis, my math teacher, can test the student's ability. To see how they would react to the day's lesson and tp see the difference between the student's understanding of the skill before and after learning. This also gives the students to have a taste of what they are going to learn so that they can mentally prepare for what will happen next. 

 

Skills Tested: The skills that I was tested in by doing this assignment was my ability to think quick and understand a topic I have never heard about by using context clues and things around me. I was also tested for being able to comprehend a few statements to try and use that understanding to my advantage.  

 

Personal Reflection: I believe that my strength while doing this Do Now was my ability to use recent lessons and "common sense" to solve the problem and actually get it right. I was also able to help other people with the problem so they too can get a deep understanding of the Algebra foundations. However, my weakness while doing this exercise was checking over my work. I had one error at first because I did not check it over to make sure it was right. So basically sometimes I rush which is my problem at the moment.
