Due Date: 4/17/17

 

Overview: For the assignment, I basically had to research a science related current event. The discovery that I chose to research was a new species that scientists found which was sort of a spider snail or how I called it Gary 2.0. The point of the project was to allow our minds to expand and to realize what is going on nowadays in the Science field. 

 

Reflection:  I believe that some of my strengths during this project was my ability to present my research to the class in a very enthusiastic and passionate way, making the presentation interesting for all who watched.  I was also able to find an actual topic I was interested in which can be hard due to the wideness of the web. However, some of my weaknesses during the assignment was that I could have had more information on the topic. Although I did well while teaching the class what my topic was, I could have added a bit more of in-depth information.

 

Skills tested:  To complete the task the main skill I was tested in is my ability to complete research and turn it into a presentable way for others. 

 

What I learned:   By doing this project I learned a lot abut how new species are actually found and really it is a mystery when something new happens.  I also learned that a creature of that nature can be so similar to cartoon characters and can actually be fun to talk about.
